Hello from Sweden!

I am new to the forum and also to bikes, got my drivers license 2014 and bought a 2006 F800ST as my first bike, it was great as a first bike, nice ans easy to drive.
But during 2016 while out riding i got the feeling i wanted something.....well plain and simple: more.

Did not know what and i wasn't really looking that hard for a new bike either.

By august of 2017 i started checking out dealers on the web, found a 2005 K1200s at dealers about 300km from where i live. Thought about it for a few days and then i got a day off from work, my wife was home as well and the weather was nice, so a little trip on the f800 would be nice. (did not tell my wife where i was going)

Got to the dealer and 30 seconds after seeing the bike it was just a big NO! it looke'd like it had been keept outside all year round since 2005, dull paintjob, rusty screwhead's, sunbleched, dirty.

Feeling disappointed i turned around to leave, and there stood a lava orange 2009 K1300s, looke'd well kept after, the salesman approached me and i asked for the history of the bike.
Full servicehistory , all at Bmw dealers, all recalls done, 60000km service performed 6 days earlier. Came with Bmw sport panniers and tankbag, Bmw gps mount for the batterycover, QS, heated grips, OBC.

Salesman asked if i wanted to take it out for a test, i said yes and i he brought it outside for me, and off i went, drove some in the city to get a feel for it at low speed's and turns.

Then...highwaytest....opened the throttle on 2nd gear and felt hesitant to just pull the shifter without clutch, but i did it and OMG!!!! this thing could move, there was no end to it!
There was not much gas in it so i could not ride for long if i wanted to get back, but i tested it pretty good anyway.

When i got back i parked next to my f800st and looked at it and thought "i can't get back on that moped after this".
Went in and talked to the salesman and 30 min later i drove off on the k1300s, on the way home my wife called and asked where i was, she had been in the bank and there was something wrong with the balance on the account. Ooopss!!

Told here i would explain when i got home.

Drove up to my garage and sounded the horn so the wife came out, first a look of surprise then when i got my helmet of and she saw it was me her eyes got a little darker.

But it was ok after explaining to her about the last years thoughts.

Since i got i i have replaced the front indicator lenses with smoked set from Germany, installed some crazybright amber LED's from aliexpress (crazy bright LED are not easy to find).
Rear indicators are replaced with LED's with a light smoke tint set from aliexpress.
Changing the indicators was a huge improvement not only to the estethics but also safety, they are far more visible in sunlight than the stock incandescant lights were.
