DIY Y-PIPE on a budget

If your'e a cheap bastard like me here's the photo (link) & parts.
Gates: 19670 $12.99
Master Pro: 22063 $8.59
The MP hose made the 2 large sections. Of course you'll need some clamps and some large sockets to create the "bell" ends. I used some heat and coincidentally left them like that for a month.
The upper cross over hose and the lower hose I bought from MAX. Couldn't find anything that would match those.

(Fixed for you - when you copy the photos URL, or "Properties" paste that between [IMG][/IMG] - I also edited the photo to reduce its pixel size to 1250X800 + or - / CJS350)

Re: DIY Y-PIPE on a budget

If you want to, After you finalize the bends, I could tig weld one for you using a proper collector for a small fee.

I always like the practice...

Re: DIY Y-PIPE on a budget

Installed and on the road, I "could" take a photo but there's no visual difference other than the mechanical hose clamps.
That Y pipe is $138 from Max.
I also went the cheap route on the external fuel hoses. Used a SS coil from a Suzuki clutch hose on the 90 deg bends to prevent kinking.

Yeah, if it's something people wanted. I honestly enjoy it.

But getting the angles right will need to be up to someone that has one of these bikes.

It's not to make money, just a handful to help the community and sharpen my skills. I could do it in stainless, if needed.

I thought so but the collector threw me off.
A rubber header pipe would interesting since they glow orange in the dark.
