Re: How about a picture of You and your KS?

Picking it up at Grass Roots BMW. Cape Girardeau, MO

Herb Anderson far left, Reno Anderson, Herb's wife, owners of Grass Roots, I am the good looking guy wearing the hat, and holding the pom, Mon Belle Ami.

I had to take the KRS that I traded in on the KS on the trailer because I had two extra tires, etc. that were part of the deal.

Another shot of just the bike at the main PO branch.

I agree with the colors statement the it's the best color they made. The silver parts could be black. But it's nice as is. I had a red Ducati 916 that I painted mostly yellow. (photo)

It's a Fieldsheer one piece perforated leather suit.

Here's my KS along with some other hardware from the collection. Also flanked by my sons on the other bikes.

The KS still kinda pops out of the picture.

Great picture Gary, can't wait for my boys to be old enough to ride with me. They are both attending a motocross summer camp this week. They came back home tired but with huge smiles on thier faces.

Looking great with your sons there, Gary! Wonder how "mom" feels when all three of her men head out for fun in the curves!

And here I thought I was the only "bumblebee" K12s in CO......ain't it great owning a bike in a color scheme 99.9% of the populace didn't know existed?

Re: How about a picture of You and your KS?

It is really great getting to ride with my sons.

I started them pretty early at age 9 and 12 and we have never really stopped. All the first years were off on road dirt bikes. Lots of trail riding and numerous motocross courses. Later took them through MSF to get their licenses. They are really great riders. I doubt I could shake 'em off my tail if I tried.

PS. "Mom" is remarkably great about letting us go hit the curves. I definitely feel fortunate about that.

I check in here every once in a while and find that there are so many great bikes and really cool photos of forum members within these posts.
Thanks so much for sharing the ride with us!!

For those of you posting for the first time, please don't be shy, add the photo, then go to the Intro thread and tell us a bit more about yourself.

Hi Welshman ,what test ,did it make the Mag?
I've been thinking about an HP2Sport ,what is it like as a day to day bike or is it just somthing for the weekend sir?
And finally from another of the class of 53 13 vs 12 ?

One of my old K's in France,

John

Test was 3 or more years ago as I recall. A number of readers who had a bike which had been voted by its owners as one of the 5 best handling bikes had to ride their bike and a new Blade for comparison purposes. AFAI recall there were two KTMs, a Street Triple and something like a 1200 Bandit. Street Triple won.

HP2 Sport is not really a day to day bike, mainly because it has limited load carrying capacity. I use mine as a weekend or, if the mood takes me a weekday, toy. I have toured with it - check our website and the Dolomites trip - but it's ideally a track day, weekend blast bike.

As for the K12 v K13 debate I'd refer you to my comparison thread. Essentially K12 is a very good bike with some flaws, and the K13 is the same bike with the flaws ironed out.

Re: How about a picture of You and your KS?

Lake Garda is very nice (Limonia) Via the Dolomites plenty of good hotels and the bike meet down in the car park at Limonia by the lake (great food van in the car park.)

I've had a good week doing a few mods on my bike .Removed the badge from the can I bought on ebay ,polished the can then cut the badge to a shape I liked and sandblasted it to remove paint and refitted with screws.
