schroedie emblem led roundel lights

Hi all,

Anyone with experience and/or photos on the wiring of schroedie´s two color led emblem lights?

The instructions say I need to find the turn lights wires and the running light wire.

I don´t know which are those wires nor where to splice and I don´t want to mess up anything.

Any help would be most appreciated.

Armando

Armando, you need a wiring diagram for your bike. Maybe there's one online and someone can point you to it.

Never heard of these until I saw this thread. These are very cool! Please post some pics when you get them working.

If you wouldn't mind, could you take some pics and document the install process?

Armando

For the turn light I just pulled out my front turn signal and traced the wire back and tapped into it. Very simple. I installed on my K1200GT so not sure how much different for you.

Also, just reach out to Schroedie as he's very responsive to emails. He will get you what you need....

Shop@schroedie.de is his email...

Re: schroedie emblem led roundel lights

They look really good and functional. I have a question for someone who has them. When I or tech has to remove the side panel for whatever I assume there is a wiring on the back side that must be disconnected?

Yes, there is a very high quality, waterproof connector to disconnect when removing the panel.

Will do.

I have the running light / two-color option so I have to trace that other cable.
Will follow your advice and shoot'em an email.

The english translation of the manual is really confusing.

Thanks a lot

I chickened out from installing the thing myself. A moto lighting specialist did it for cheap. Only thing is I didn't get to document the process.

Talking Re: schroedie emblem led roundel lights

Not quite a necro-post, so...

I just installed a set of the Schrodie emblems on my K1300S, and I’m thrilled. They are a first-class, high quality product.
If I could figure out how to post photos on this old software, I would, but...

I got the two-color ones. White running lights with amber flashers. For switched power and ground, I tapped the accessory pigtail I installed in the accessory plug located forward of the battery that is usually used to power a GPS. It stays hot for one minute after the ignition is switched off. For the signal power, I tapped the blue/tracer wire coming out of the rear view mirror base just above the wire harness connection. It’s only two wires on each side. (Don’t pick brown, that’s ground.)

All the plastic comes off to do this. After drilling holes in the side fairings, you’ll assemble the male electrical connector once you feed the pins through the hole you made.
Once together, it’s never coming out; it’s far too large.

The pigtail pn# is 83-30-0-413-585. You don’t have to have it, but it made the job far easier, and I didn’t need to hack the bike’s main harness.
