Smile Hey There! First motorcycle: R1200ST.

Well, I just got my R1200ST and I wanted to join some forums. This seems like a great one! I have a 2005 with 67k miles that was given to me by my grandfather. He inherited it from his friend who passed from cancer, so it does have some sentimental value. My grandfather was a long time BMW rider who put over 300k on his R1150.

I think the ST is a special BMW. It's such a sweet ride! So far, I put on a nice Hepco and Becker tank bag, Angel GT tires, RAM mount, and Ztechnik carbon fibre gauge trim.

I have a rear rack plate of which I have no idea of its origin. Maybe it's custom made? Please let me know if you have seen one before. Thanks for welcoming me!

Here are some pictures!

Welcome to the site! Nice bike and my bet is that the rear rack is a BMW part given that it has the logo.

Thanks! That's what I would have thought, but it really doesn't strike me as an OEM part. Not that is is bad quality, but it just doesn't have the fit and finish of a BMW item.
