Anyone riding around Sydney

Hi all,
I just joined the site and notice the Aussie section isn't the most active one.
I was wondering if there is anyone interested in day trips/weekends away.
I am 33 yo, originally from Italy but in Sydney since 2008, I ride a R1200GS and with a few friends (many of them them proud owners of Beemers) I often go away for 1 day/ 2 days rides.
If anyone is interested just send me a PM or replay to the thread, the more the merrier
Luca

Not from Sydney and try to avoid the place if at all possible - just the thought of Pennant Hills Rd gives me nigtmares.
Happy to meet up at some stage - I'm heading to the WSBK at the end of Feb or maybe we should pick a day in late march to have a meet and greet at the Robertson Pie Shop? Some nice roads around there from both the Sydney end and from further south.

Cheers,
McChecker

Re: Anyone riding around Sydney

Hi Luca,

I'm from the far South of Sydney. Like McChecker I don't much fancy riding through the middle of Sydney to ride up North but a trip to Robertson in a month or two sounds great to me.

I've just taken my two bikes out for their first rides in two and half months today after a shoulder operation. The shoulder seems to have held out well for a short squirt around National Park but I took it pretty easy.

I'm feeling pretty good right now because the shoulder isn't playing up after the rides so hopefully it's onwards and upwards from here on.

When I'm more fully recovered I'd consider some longer day trips. I'm 42 - it's just that shoulder ops are a bit crippling in the short term. Ask Rossi if you don't believe me

Cheers

NGC
