2018 BMW R nineT – Much More Than the Sum of Its Parts

2018 BMW R nineT – Much More Than the Sum of Its Parts

Wildly fun modern classic manages to live up to the hype
“It’s shit. And as soon as I get home I’m going to buy one.”

That was a fellow journalist’s first impression of the BMW R nineT recently. It’s a pretty accurate summary; the R nineT is somewhat ill-mannered by modern motorcycle standards but also instantly, inarguably, infatuatingly wonderful.

I'm seriously thinking about buying one of these. I am going to talk with salesman on Tuesday, July 24th.

Don't forget some of the R nineT models have tube type tires.

I noticed that. But the Pure has cast wheels with tubeless tires.

I'm quite enchanted with my Racer, not to mention it seems to be a chick magnet.

If the tube rims have a bead inner capture bulge like tubeless rims, Woody's wheels will seal the spoke line. And if the rims are not tubeless suitable, Woody's will install new rims that are and seal them. Then you can go with Tubeless tires. This is what I would do If I had to have one of those bikes.

I change your tires, you buy them on the web, I do the work $40, trying to keep riders on the road.

Re: 2018 BMW R nineT – Much More Than the Sum of Its Parts

I purchased a new 2018 R NineT Pure this morning. I pick it up tomorrow morning.

BTW, the Pure has cast wheels / tubeless tires. I haven't had a tube-tire motorcycle in many, many years.
