Re: Route 66

Lots and lots of original Route 66 here in Oklahoma. I travel parts of it often just getting from one place to another. Some nice old restaurants from "back in the day."

The TV series “Route 66” where Tod Stilles, played by Martin Milner, and Buz Murdock, played by George Mahraris..later replaced by Linc Case (a Vietnam vet.) played by Glenn Corbett...traveled around the country in a Corvette (several different 1960-1964 models)very rarely drove The Mother Road..

Re: Route 66

We've been on in 66 in Oklahoma, Arizona, Missouri, and Kansas. A lot of it is hard to find when you're just using a GPS. Interesting though.

Watching that TV show as a 5-6 year old is what gave me my Jones for a Corvette and I eventually did what a lot of Corvette owners want to do, got my kicks on Route 66.

Re: Route 66

Drove lots of it on the great road trip in 2013 with my best bud with PD. He hasn't been on one since.

Good souvenirs from that one!
