Here's "big blue", me, and my young passenger. I will post a photo of my KRS with my new black Bagster tank cover/bag when I get a chance, the colour contrast looks great with the Pacific Blue.

Re: How about a Picture of You and your KRS/GT?

Pacific Coast Highway - south of Big Sur, in the spring:

Camping in the Sierras at the Horse Meadown campsite a bit off the road going over Sherman pass, the campsite is about 8000', Sherman Pass at about 9300, beautiful part of the world and off the beaten path

and at Dante's View, about 5500' above Death Valley, Badwater is directly below, about 200' below sea level!!!

racingiron,

you are correct sir, one of the reasons I bought that particular motorcycle (last of the non linked, non servo'ed)

Linked brake bikes will do burnouts also, just a bit harder to get 'em 'lit up' initally.

Nice color on that RS. That's not stock, is it? It looks like a K1 color.

That's 2001/02 Pacific Blue. I'm willing to bet that photo was taken using a blackberry or other portable handheld device... my blackberry also makes the Pacific Blue look that colour.

Paul, how's the throttlemeister working for you? Next best thing to electronic cruise control.

Here is one of Helene and I on our trip to Cabot Trail in 2005. Still love the colors of that RS.

And a second one on top of Mount Washington in 2007 on a beautifull October day.

The colour is original "pacific blue metallic" - the quality of the picture is bad. The cover on the seat keeps my wife from sliding when I brake. She loves the bike and rides a lot w/ me but found that the seat was too slippery. This little gadget I got on line fixed the seat and was a lot cheaper than buying a new one. I'll try and post a better picture of my bike, but I'm not sure how to include a bigger picture in my actual post. Paul

It is stock colour . . . just a bad picture. It's "pacific blue metallic". Not sure how to post bigger picture. Paul

Re: How about a Picture of You and your KRS/GT?

That is one sharp looking RS Trout. How does it fare with that K1200? My impression is that the fact that the RS can keep up with the lighter weight power bikes is a testament to the engineering of the RS.

Thanks.

At everyday riding speeds, the bikes are more similar than different. Either one will pass a line of Harleys in a matter of seconds and will both be at about 120 by the time we get to the Road Captain

To say that the RS can keep up with the S is really an irrelevant statement. They will both go from zero to jail without shifting gears. I suppose the S may pull away in the very tight corners, but then we would have to consider riding skill.
