New ride

Just finished talking to a seller of a bike I have lusted after for a long time and finally pulled the trigger on. This will share garage space with my S1XR and should compliment it nicely. Saturday I will meet up and take possession of a new to me 2007 G650X Challenge. Will post up pics once I get her.

Re: New ride

Congrats on the new ride.

I almost bought one - I liked it a lot but ended up buying an F800GS. These days I'm more inclined to purchase a smaller bike than a big bike.

Next month I will get serious about buying a new bike - I really don't have a clue what I want. What I need is most likely not going to be what I end up with.

Re: New ride

Congrats Karl. On the subject of small bikes, I was looking at the Kawasaki 400 the other day. That really is a beautiful bike. It comes in black.

I'm going to see how good they are at the track - could be interesting - does it come in other colors???? Black is the only color needed!!

Not to hijack Karl's post but they said top speed was about 121.

Re: New ride

Had one for a few years when they came out. A very nice bike. Replace the air shock with a proper one. Air shock sucks.

Re: New ride

One things for sure we would be lost as soon as we started riding. Ive only ridden Co. twice and then it was tarmac only. I would love to go to a RMR though

Re: New ride

swapped out the moto wheels for the dirt wheels yesterday, had to figure out a way to suspend the bike as I am used to bikes that either have center stands or lend themselves to paddock stands, the X challenge does neither. Not the most elegant solution but it was stable and got the job done.
