Re: New in crate 1975 Triumph Trident..

It is a cool find but it will not ever be as valuable as the earlier bikes the traditional shifter on the right side.

Now a Hurricane in the box that would be a find for sure.

Re: New in crate 1975 Triumph Trident..

T160 Tridents are a special bike and are quite valuable, more so than most twins. besides being electric start , the cylinders are slanted forward like the BSA Rocket 3 .Unlike a twin the triples will go 70,000 plus miles with little maintenance. Put on a pair of slippery sam mufflers and these triples put out a glorious sound.I sold mt T160 to get a 1000cc Laverda Triple.

Re: New in crate 1975 Triumph Trident..

One year and done bike still in the crate with the plastic wrapping from 1975. I think that price isn't bad. I bought my '03 Honda Blackbird in '05 from Weymouth Honda. They still had 6 in crates. Paid less than my bro did in '03. That T160 is nice!

Re: New in crate 1975 Triumph Trident..

Nice find!

Years ago one of my riding buddies had two 1972 Ducati 750ss - the so-called "Green Frame" model. One was in the crate. He sold them both, but the one in the crate, he also sold many years ago, and is ago really kicking himself now, thinking, "there's one I should have held onto!"
