How To Torque Steering Head Bearing 2015-2016 RR's

Found this video on the procedure for re-torquing/torquing the steering head bearing on 2015-2016 RR's.

RR's are easier than R's, the clip on handle bars are not really in the way. A 2 hour hassle to get the S1000R job done. Now we need a video for fork oil changing. The OEM tooling looks impressive for the job.

I don't know for sure, but this procedure would probably work on any of the "conventionally" forked newer BMW's. My R12RS only differs with handlebar mounting.

Hi everyone, ive done a search to find out what Torque settings for Headers on the S1000rr was hoping someone could lead me in the right direction, Cheers Wardy

I'm not home to check my DVD but I think the torque value for the exhaust flange bolts is 20Nm.

Maybe someone will answer this with confidence before I get home tonight to check.

Corrected: For the 2015 and 2016 RR it is 14Nm. What year is your RR?

Thanks Bruce, Im having a play with a 2015. After a RR experience track day with BMW I realized How awkward the K bike was around a track

The K bikes are fantastic but they don't compare to the RR on the track.
