New to the site and BMW

Hi all,

Just picked up my first BMW - a 2007 K1200S last week. Have only ridden it twice so far, but early impressions are good. I browsed this forum for a few weeks prior to the purchase, and picked up some very useful info and tips. I'm looking forward to putting some more miles on the clock this summer, and have a couple of trips planned already.

Re: New to the site and BMW

Welcome aboard Glen. I too recently brought a 2007 K1200S and I love it. I just put a BMW tank bag on which is a great investment. I have also put a set of grip puppies on which has really made the bars more comfortable and cant recommend them enough as I had them on my old FJR1300. I have also changed the lights to Phillips Motolight in 4300k which has made a decent improvement for a low cost. If I see a set of HIDs that the dust cover is the ballast (have this set up in my V8) then i would change to HID as I do not like having to mount an external ballast. I am also looking at a set of throtlemeisters to ease my wrist on a long ride.
