If they fly this way with passengers on board they'll need to bring back the barf bag

Holy Crap! A damn near vertical take-off.

This new 787 looks beautiful flying, it almost looks like a bird - very graceful for such a large plane.

Not sure I'd want to be sitting in it on my next flight if the pilot decides to take-off the same way, but it sure looks like a great plane.

Very cool Hector. Bet you didn't know that Vic was having one fitted out to transport the moderators to their annual vacation at the Caribbean beach house, champagne included, of course!

Well if Flyboy is flying I think I'll take a ship instead and catch you guys at the beach house.

Very impressive plane for sure.

I can't imagine doing a take off like that - "hello this is your Captain - the weather conditions are beautiful - we are running a few minutes behind schedule - please make sure your seat belt is fastened - we will be doing a quick take off - if you have been to Disney - this will be an E-ticket ride for sure".

If there is one thing on my bucket list it's "soaring".

I've never flown, don't know much at all about it except "DON'T CRASH"; but the idea of being in a perfectly aerodynamic structure rising on currents with only the sound of the wind sounds like a full-on 'natural' hoot.

Re: If they fly this way with passengers on board they'll need to bring back the barf bag

Owned an HP-11A many years ago. Best cross country was 250 miles, longest flight over 5 hours. So quiet, even at 110 knots, that when I landed I'd put in earplugs because everyone was talking so loud. Many landings in farmer's fields.

Miss it.

Right. I like this kind of music. Plumb (Bronleewe and Bose) this is my favorite:

I have used it some years ago in this video
