Question Reflective Wheel Marker?

Would it be helpful at night to have a dot of reflective tape on both sides of both wheels?

That is, when starting to pull out into traffic at night, this could be an early warning to oncoming traffic of your intentions.

What say you?

Re: Reflective Wheel Marker?

Reflective wheel tape has been on the market for years.. I've ridden with people who had it and after dark it was very visible although a bit bodacious. IMHO.. the more visible at night the better..

This place has been around longer than dirt.. http://store.tapeworks.com/rimstripes.aspx

Re: Reflective Wheel Marker?

A agree a single dot or strip of an inch would be an eye catcher at night. The whole wheel, humm, not my thing. Although I do have SOLAS reflective tape in a design on the back of m helmet.

Rather be a live nerd to ride another day than a cool guy in a casket.
Any increase in visibility can only help.

That is just friggin awesome. Now if I can stop shaking long enough to apply it. The tremor deadens somewhere betwixt the first and tenth shot of whisky. I imagine a paint shop guy could knock this stuff on pretty slick.
