Re: Top 11 bikes expected at the 2018 EICMA

I'm hoping and praying for a Ducati Supersport with a "real" engine on it... The Italians are supposed to announce the 2019 bikes in early November... Fingers crossed..

The current bike is everything I've been looking for for years except for it's pitiful underpowered engine..

BTW.. Heard yesterday that the MV F4 has been discontinued...

Put the new V4 in the supersport and then you'd really have a supersport tourer

The new Suzuki s1000fz abs is going to be my new bike. A sport bike with more up-right riding position, plenty of horse power, touring capable, weighs about 70 lbs less than the k13s, Japanese reliability....and it looks great.

The red and black one really looked good, great write up but I didn't see HP or torque figures. Im hoping my next bike will be the Kawasaki H2SXSE.

Re: Top 11 bikes expected at the 2018 EICMA

The red and black color scheme looks fantastic. Not sure of the HP and torque on the 2019 models, but slightly older bikes have 145+ HP and 75+ lb-ft in torque. Givi makes an easily installed rack and very nice hard cases for this bike. MSRP for the Suzuki is about $11,300 compared to the BMW s1000r at $14,000.

Re: Top 11 bikes expected at the 2018 EICMA

They have been making them for a couple years. A real sleeper. I was looking for a small, lighter bike than the k13s that was sporty and could also be toured on. The BMW s1000r was a candidate, but I think this Suzuki might be ticket. There have been several reviews of this bike comparing it to the Kaw Ninja 1000 and the Suzuki always seems to be the favorite. And it's better looking I think. You can get the Ninja with factory hard cases though, which is a plus.

A v4 SuperSport-Tourer? I'm listening... have been waiting for this news out of the Honda camp for years. Continually tempted by the Tuono but put off by the NEAREST dealer being 2+ hours away.

I don't think Ducati is listening so we're unlikely to see a V4 Super Sport but it would be awesome. I looked at the Tuono a couple summer's ago and the lack of dealer network close to me is one of the things that scared me off. The closest dealership dropped the brand and the next closest was 2-3 hours away.
