Re: phone mount

I like the RAM products because they are so versatile. Although I don't know of anything specific for that phone, there are a ton of products from RAM that will let you put the phone about anywhere.

Do you have an idea of where you want it mounted?

Re: phone mount

Like Joe, I really like the versatility of the Ram products, specifically the "X-Grip". I was a bit nervous if it would be enough on a bike, but after four years I've only come close to an issue once and it was after riding into a pot hole the size of the Grand Canyon.

Re: phone mount

I was looking at RAM stuff but with the handle bar arrangement of the 1300, and a tank bag that covers up the fuel ring i'm not really sure how to go about it?

Exactly! That is a universal fit for most phones. So the deal with the RAM products. First you select the mount. This can be on the handle bars, on a mirror stem, a yoke mount, gas tank, reservoir. There are a bunch of options. Then you chose the arm that will attach the mount to something like the XGrip. The whole kit would look something like this:

Re: phone mount

You could use a reservoir mount or a yoke mount. I posted this in another thread a few days ago.

I used a yoke mount from MV Verholen which screwed right into the yoke underneath the BMW roundel. I mounted my GPS there and it was perfect. You might want to get a longer arm to put the phone a little higher.

Anytime! Just a note. The roundel for me was easy to remove from my K1300 and a pain on the K12. But the mount fit perfectly on both. And if you bust the roundel, there are replacement parts for it.

I don't mean to turn this into a classified ad, but I have a stem pivot mount that I used on a K1200S that I've been meaning to list for sale. I'll check if I can find it today and send you some pictures if interested. It's in black if I recall correctly.
