Re: zumo 660

There is a button under "Settings" to switch to mph. I don't have the owner's book nearby so I don't remember the exact steps. However, I noticed every time the internal battery is disconnected it reverts back to KMH.

Me too.

AZ-J made a thread about his 660, he stated that the 660 will have XM capabilities through a firmware upgrade, anyone else know about this? I am at a loss as to why they would not include the ability in it to begin with, normally a company does not just drop a capability without replacing it with something better unless users are not using the feature which, about 60% (in my non-scientific estimation) have XM also (speaking here in the USA). But it does save money though... without XM I don't have any inclination to want one and still feel that mine is at the top of the heap (at least in the ways that I need/use it).

Re: zumo 660

The BMW Zumo did not have XM capability when it came out, according to the rumor mill, because BMW had a deal with Sirius and giving it XM would breach that deal. Garmin's decision on no XM or Sirius for the 660 is, according to rumor mill, because of Sirius/XM's looming bankruptcy.

One year and a half after the BMW Zumo was released, it was blessed with XM capability via a firmware upgrade. So, let's see if Sirius/XM goes into and comes out of bankruptcy, and then the 660 will get a similar upgrade.
