Plate relocation

Hi, I made a plate to eliminate the plastic portion of the plate holder that has the reflectors on it. There are three bolts that hold this and it can be removed and my adapter put in place. The white plate light goes on the left side. You can see more tire and the back is cleaned up some. beech (I have some extras of these at cost, $10 or $15 if I need to mail it to you. snipesb(at)cnw.com)

Re: Plate relocation

I was looking at that at the rally Beech and I thought it was very smart looking! I wanna do something similar but as you know my B.C. plate is the size of a sail. Another winter project.

Re: Plate relocation

Nice Job. Is there a reason for the single green reflector?

Re: Plate relocation

The green button has been setting around the shop for years, left over from an old Porsche 356 plate. I just put it on. (the red side reflectors are a token legal side rear reflector make from license plate fasteners. really not needed) beech

Re: Plate relocation

Many thanks to Beech and the clean work on his plate relocator. I've had mine on for a few months now and finally got around to taking some shots of it.

Easy install (simple directions) and the "THIS SIDE TOWARD ENEMY" inscription still makes me grin whenever I think about it.

The missing BMW badge fell off after a wet commute.

Re: Plate relocation

BillA, that vise is at least 2 big ones. I had to take it apart to lift the sections onto the bench. I was lucky to come by it. It balances out the 3.5 ton lathe on the other side of the garage.
Tank, your bike looks great. We think alike. I have the Remus exhaust on my light gray bike also. I have been thinking about black pearl ghost flames on the side pannels. And that Harley in the back ground is a dead ringer for one I put together in 1989 with a Paugho ridgid frame, same seat, same color and an evo engine. I had a nifty shovel engine but it was stollen from the machine shop while getting some work done.
Anyway, I have about 25 more of the ever so cool plate relocators left in this batch. I have gotten shipping down to 3 bucks (back to 5 if you want priority mail) and ten for the plate for a total of a wallet flatening $13. beech
snipesb@cnw.com Also included, free tire changes at my location with any purchase.

Re: Plate relocation

Beech,
Sent a pm and email about the plate relocator.

I like the reference to the Messerschmitt on your plate.

Re: Plate relocation
