Re: Sena 10Cevo

Yes it is. Nice find.

As someone who has yet to put any electronics in his helmet, the total package this device offers is very compelling, and I may seriously consider it. To capture an event, such as an accident, you can just push a button and get 3 minutes bracketing your event; great for evidence if you needed it. Music, if and when I wanted it, group ride comms when needed, not to mention most I know run a Sena comm version of some sort, but the reviews I read and saw said nothing of backwards compatibility.

Here's the Revzilla video review.

Re: Sena 10Cevo

I just bought my wife a new helmet (Shoei RF-SR), and installed a Sena 10S for her music from her iPhone. It was simple and clean with all the necessary items included. I've never wanted such intrusion into my helmet, but this process made me think about it for the first time "just in case..."

I have the 20 on two lids and love their capabilities....I still use buds though....I don't care for helmet speakers.

Re: Sena 10Cevo

You might want to try Uclear. Better speakers, waterproof, and no boom mic.

No helmet w/speakers is going to protect my ears so I'm always using custom molded IEMs with a Sena 30K for any longer ride. The problem I have with the Sena camera units is that if you shoot video the battery lasts about a minute - or might as well be that short. That makes it pretty useless when it's primary purpose on my hat is for intercom with my riding group.

Re: Sena 10Cevo

I have 4 Sena units in all my helmets. Won't go to the corner store without it. Love them!

Re: Sena 10Cevo

I just posted a thread on the HaloCam M1 "Dash" camera. I gave up on Sena. It's been almost two years since they announced the release of the 10C Evo. They promised a "Pro" version, and I seriously doubt it'll show. I talked to Revzilla, and they don't want to waste their time even putting a web page for it.

I was able to use my Sena 10C with a USB cord and a separate battery, but the USB port isn't designed to have that kind of use. The connection was getting pretty shaky. And I may have bought the HaloCam M1 just in time. I tried recording some video yesterday and today, and while it sounds like the camera is working, there's no files recorded.

The only advantage I see in the Sena 10C (regular, Pro or Evo) is that you turn your head and you can capture an image on the fly while riding that you couldn't get unless you stopped. Sometimes that's not convenient.

I think I've weaned myself from the Sena 10C. I'm certainly not going to hold my breath waiting for them to come out with an updated camera.
