Racing Red ...

Is the fastest color for the new GSA , or so I've been told ...

Got my new GSA 2 days ago , and man does it feels different from my 2012 model .

The new engine doesn't sound or feel like a tractor anymore , not that there was anything wrong with the old girl that took me to a numerous of beautiful places , but the water cooled engine feels more "tight" , if I can say so .
Quickshift assist is fantastic , the Navigator VI looks great and user friendly , I didn't had a chance to use the cruise control yet , but that should come handy , and the extra 15HP should put many smiles on this rider's face ...

Only did a 145km ride coming home from the dealer , but that was enough to made me realize I had done the right thing in getting this new beast .

Here's a few pics ...

At the dealer ...

Brand new with 2km on the clock ...

On the way home ...

Near the Richelieu river ...

One for Wes , crossing the river on a cable ferry ...

Near the St-Laurent river , in Varennes , just outside of Montréal ...

A Québec brekky ...

One last one for Wardy ...

Re: Racing Red ...

Nice bike, Martin. Hope you enjoy many, many tens of thousands of miles on your new beast.
Saw so many GSs with hot dog boxes on the recent westward travels.

That photo of your new bike with the old house in the background would make a great screen saver or poster. Most excellent.

Great looking bike bike Martin. It would be interesting to read a comparison between it and the Africa twin whic is being touted as a direct competitor.

Re: Racing Red ...

Cousin Martin, I have a great idea. You could keep that bike in my warehouse. It could be your “southern bike”, and you could fly in anytime and have it here ready to go to the DGR, BRPR, the KFCR, and even the ICR. Just make sure that it’s insured and tagged, and I’ll front you the rent. This could work out.

I think the F800GS is more BMW's answer to the Africa Twin ...

Plus it wouldn't be fair to compare the two , as one is twice the price of the other one .

Both great machines thought .

Not for now cousin Robert , I'll be riding it in Québec for a while .

Or is that a lure to get Louis down to your place so you can get rid of his K1200RS ...

Re: Racing Red ...

Excellent choice, Martin, I really like the Racing Red - in either matte OR gloss... it's a logical choice for THE Rider of the Year. That new TFT instrument cluster is the business, and there's enough room on that seat to bring a non-motorcycling bicyclist to BRPR next week - hope to see YOU there.

Congrats on the new motorcycle

Nice new toy Martin. Bring it down so I can see it in person and you can work on the wood splitter.
