K1300S rant

I've had my bike for a few years now and have been out on a few occasions so far this spring. I just have to say that I still find this thing absolutely thrilling to ride. After a hard WOT run through the limiter in 2nd or 3rd gear I never feel underwhelmed by the induction noise and the sheer acceleration these things provide. Not much of a rant, I know some of you fellow K1300 riders feel the same.

Re: K1300S rant

Now that the salt is off the roads here - and in the neighbouring Spanish and French bits - I've ridden 620 miles in the past 6 days on 4 trips. The K13S is such a good bike. I've ridden it through towns, over mountain passes, on long fast sweepers, narrow badly surfaced mountain roads, through hairpin after hairpin, and it has handled them all. Just a great bike!

34000 miles and it still makes me smile as much as my new S1R. Maybe more, even after 8 years.

Re: K1300S rant

I have fond memories of my 2009 K13S and it was a fun bike to ride and I would have bought another one if BMW had made a few upgrades instead of letting the bike die off.

Re: K1300S rant

Another 240 odd miles today around the Pyrenees on every type of road other than motorways and the K13 handled it all with aplomb.
