First: thank you all who made this platform possible

After 40 years owning BMWs I come to discover this amazing site.

Thank you for sharing your knowledge and experience gentlemen. Such noble attitude.

Long story short: I am Mexican, 68. I thought I would never drive a bike again when 2 years ago sold my trusty 1987 R100/7. A real workhorse. Kept imaculate black like the old timers.

Then one day in the middle of a crises when needing some additional money to paliate a relative end of life, somebody calls wants to see the bike, makes an offer and provides the cash needed in that moment.

Bike love cannot be explained. Especially when she is more than a machine to you. And you know it when you keep talking alone in the road

But, being a biker is something irrational and inconditional. You need to love the wind and the controled fear of driving "as if you just stole the bike".

Then recently, as magical as the old lady went, a 25,000 km 2002 Blue K1200RS appeared in my life

The R100 was a wife, this K1200 is a passionate lover.

A passion that I share with all of you.

Thank you again. Best luck to all fellow BMW Bikers!

Armando

Wow! This is definitely not the standard introduction...

We got ourselves a poet!

Welcome to I-bmw Armando!

Best site there is!

Yup, that K1200RS is definitely a sensuous looking bike !

If you have some time and make a search, back in the days, long time ago, there was a post !
about turning our head and giving one last look at our beautiful bike before heading out of the garage. I think Vics had started it...
Hit it right on the nail too!
Great thread! Look it up!

Cheers

Welcome, sorry for your loss of the airhead but you will come to love the K1200RS, a great bike and so much information here to help you if you need it. Photos of your bike, riding area, activities you name it are also very welcome.

I change your tires, you buy them on the web, I do the work $40, trying to keep riders on the road.
