Rear ESA Calibration using GS-911

For the first time ever, I ran the Rear ESA Sensor Position Calibration utility on my '11 K1300S (22,032 miles) using the GS-911 Software on my WIN7 Laptop. This Calibration utility actuates the Spring Pre-Load Servo so that the Rear Spring is pre-loaded between min and max position.

The Pre-Calibration numbers:
Rear Sensor Position: 150
Rear Sensor Maximum: 2396

The Post-Calibration numbers:
Rear Sensor Position: 154
Rear Sensor Maximum: 2392

Not much difference and maybe not necessary?

Re: Rear ESA Calibration using GS-911

Interesting, have been thinking about getting a GS-911 since I have a R1200RT as well as my K1300. Relatively new to BMW's so a rookie question-will the same GS-911 work for both my bikes?

Re: Rear ESA Calibration using GS-911

One of my Riding Buds has a 2014 R1200RT and my older (bought used) GS-911blu Enthusiast will not work on his newer BMW. Secondly, some GS-911 Units have a limit on the number of Motorcycles (VINs) it can be used on ("Enthusiast" up to 10 VINs).

Maybe best to vet your specific Motorcycles Models for compatibility with a specific model of GS-911 with the folks at HexCode?

This chart may help you decide which unit is best for you:
