Ride Magazine k1300S buyers guide .

In this month's Ride Magazine (March 2019 on sale January 9th to 13th February 2019) there is a very good 7 page buyers guide for the K1300S.

Re: Ride Magazine k1300S buyers guide .

K1300S rules. I just spent the day riding in the northwest wet. Lunch with buddies. The K bike is just out there all by itself, fast and nasty. Take a bike up to 160 mph and nail the brakes. This one is steady. There is a reason the used market is so shallow. On the other hand if you don't do your own maintenance like valve checks, it can kill you with maintenance costs. Probably the most expensive BMW to keep alive if you have to use a dealer. Not to mention it eats tires for brunch. I would not own any other main stable bike. Meaning I have an S bike for close range fun.

If I didn't love riding mine so much, I'd stash it in the attic and bring it out in ten years time to sell and give myself a huge pension. They'll be rare as rocking-horse shit.

This legendary bike won't be fully appreciated until the last of our fossil fuels has been squeezed through the miserly injectors of some future strangled moped, and we're all pootling around on soulless electric velocipedes.

Hi Dan,

Here's a link to Motorrad Magazine (German Language). There are five links to articles on the K1300S:
https://www.motorradonline.de/bmw-k-1300-s.3441.html

1. BMW K1300S, Honda VFR1200F and Suzuki GSX-S1000F Comparo Test

2. BMW K100RS and BMW K1300S Old / New Generation Comparo

3. BMW K1300S, Honda VFR1200F DCT and Yamaha FJR 1300AS Comparo Test

4. BMW K1300S HP Versus Honda VFR1200F DCT

5. Classic: BMW K 1300 S

Well um...so all the pictures are in English for those who haven't learned German.

Re: Ride Magazine k1300S buyers guide .

The verdict is its a great bike but no many for sale as owners hang on to them..
It always gets a good position in the Ride rider power survey
Which it has had the number 1 spot in .

Visit the site using the Google Chrome browser, and accept the auto-popup to translate the page.
You can grasp most of the meaning - and also have a little chuckle over the translation fails too. A duet with your pillion, for example?

...even today many drivers of touring athletes or even travel duets would be glad that they could eat noise-free and protected motorway kilometers

that link to a free digital issue is WAY better option than posting pictures on a public forum of copyrighted information without the authors permission....
